Served under the United States Army during World War II from April 1, 1943 - December 12, 1945 in the battles of Naples - Foggia, Rome - Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, & Central Europe as an Artillery Cannoneer in the Battery B 894th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion receiving honors with the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 5 Bronze Battle Stars, the Good Conduct Medal & the World War II Victory Medal for his bravery.
